Excuse Me?

Okay I tried to let this go but this really irked the shit out of me (Yes I curse) I know when you have a blog, you are open for peoples opinions and sometimes they are not meant to be mean spirited but they still can rub you the wrong way and this is what happened to me. As you all know, I posted some very personal things about my past and I love love love that everyone was so supportive! This morning I was checking my email before my workout and I saw I had a comment and it started off great; very supportive etc and then it closed with this

"Sometimes, when I read your blog, I fear for your health a little. Have you discussed your diet and exercise routine with a physician?"

Excuse Me? Are you serious? What exactly about my diet and exercise routine is hindering my health? I know I am not the poster child for perfect health etc but I am DEFINITELY not sabotaging my health. I eat right, 80 percent of the time and I workout all the time, not because I have to but because I want to. I like the way I feel when I workout and I know in the long run this is what is best for ME. AND YES my doctor does know what I do, in fact he is very supportive. I'm sorry if this is coming off a tad rude but like I said earlier, this really bothered me and it's not the best way to start the day. So with that said...thank you for your comments; I always welcome them but I will always say I how feel.

Eats and Workouts:

Ayer for Lunch my niece and I ordered Greek Food "OPA"!!!!...I had a few pieces of Souvlaki with Tzatziki Sauce, a Greek Salad with no dressing, and 2 small Dolmas...ohhh and I ate some of Hailey's Fries and Pita...=)

For Dinner I made Turkey Burgers on WW Buns with American Cheese, Onions and Mushrooms and French Fries on the side for all of us. I ended up only eating an open face burger with no fries

Later in the evening I did my scheduled EA Active workout which mainly focused on toning and then I did abs and burned 305 Calories in 65 minutes. Side note; I am half way done with the Challege! WOOHOO!

This morning before my workout, I had 1/2 a Banana

My Plan was to go on a nice run but my legs had another thing in mind shins were hurting from the moment I stepped outside and I was thinking of just going back inside since I was in pain AND it was about to rain but I was like F IT! I powerwalked for most of it but when I would notice my HR go around 80, I would jog to bring it up to the 90's. I did that for about 35 minutes and then I did Namaste Yoga for Distance Runners and burned a total 455 Calories in 1 hour.

After my workout I had 1 scoop of Light Muscle Milk

And for Bfast I just had Oikos Honey Yogurt with the other 1/2 of my Banana and my usual Iced Coffee

  1. Yikes...I think sometimes people leave comments before they know the whole story. I can see why that bothered you a bit. Hang in there!

    Mmm, greek food is my favorite! Well, that and Indian -- its a close tie. I don't eat either one enough though ;-)

  3. I know what you mean about comments coming off the wrong way! Thats what stinks about typing.. you can't hear the tone of voice and don't know if they are coming off rude or not!

  4. Hm. I AM curious. What DOES she mean by that? Meaning you eat too healthy? Meaning you eat too unhealthy? Huh?

    anyway, I think you eat well. You eat really healthfully, but don't restrict yourself, and aren't afraid to indulge in a bit. THAT is healthy eating, and you're doing fabulous.

  5. I don't know really...but Sophia, you see my page and you see what I eat. I try to balance it and allow myself treats. Perhaps sometimes I have more than usual but I try my best to be the best me and that is all I can do.

    That comment just caught me off guard because I don't see myself as unhealthy. I WAS unhealthy in the past but NO MO lol

  7. I hate it when people make rude comments like that. I met up with Happy Herbivore for lunch the other day and we talked about how people can be so critical over the net. I have had some mean comments too but I just delete and move on with my life.

    I love Greek food! You may have just set off a craving...

  8. If people are going to make personal comments like that, they should at least try to get to know you first and create a relationship with you, geez!

    Then again with text's, IMs, Emails, Comments - they are often misunderstood, as opposed to when someone actually tells you and you can hear the tone and see body language. And know where they are coming from. ya know what I mean? like what ajangel25 said...

    Take it with a grain of salt and hopefully she will explain herself better next time!
