What Have You Done Today To Make You Feel Proud...

That has to be one of my favorite lines in a song...and I think it is a great to have this song on Biggest Loser. I watched some more of it this morning while I was working out (I like to watch it when I am working out) and I could not stop crying while they were running the 1 mile...it didn't help that I was jogging at the same time lol...I can tell this is going to be a VERY emotional season...get the tissues ready

EATS AND WORKOUTS

Ayer for Lunch we ordered from the Chinese restaurant. I ordered the Shrimp with Mixed Veggies and instead of getting any rice, I asked them to give me extra veggies...and they sure did...

For Din Din I had made a Green Monster with a little bit of Frozen Strawberries, 1/2 a Frozen Banana, Spinach, and 1 scoop of Vanilla LMM.

This morning I woke up and had 1/2 a Banana before my workout (no picture). I then did 50 minutes if EA Active which included Alternating Lunges, High Knee Lunges, Side Lunges with Toe Taps, Shoulder Presses, Upright Rows, and Jogging. I then did 20 minutes of Jogging with my Wii Fit, and 5 minutes of Stretching. I burned a total of 536 Calories. It's crazy that even jogging in place can raise your HR to 80-90%.

For Breakfast I had Oikos Honey Yogurt with PB and my regular Coffee

Protein Days

Many of you guys have been asking me about my Protein Days, so let me explain it a little better. When I was working with a nutritionist to lose weight, she always made me do 2 days of Protein during the week. They were usually the two days before my weigh in and always had to be back to back days. She said this would "shock" my system. We all know that low Carb Diets work in the beginning but in the long run they fail because most people can not stick to this. This way I can cut out Carbs since I have PCOS but not in a drastic way. So for two days in the week, I try to avoid Bread, Rice, Pasta, Wraps, Oatmeal, Ice Cream etc =( . This worked for me in the past...if it ain't broke why fix it =)

Addicted to Working Out??

Ayer I was feeling VERY tired and decided to just relax when I got home. I jumped in the shower the minute I walked in and took a long hot shower and got into my sweats. The plan was to relax and re energize my body but my mind had a different idea. The whole time I was trying to unwind, I had this nagging pesky voice in my head "Get up go workout! what are you doing! you didn't hit 500 Calories today...you have 200 more to go...GET UP GET UP" I would walk into the bedroom and get my things but put them back down and say "NO, I am going to relax". I even went as far as checking what EA workout I was scheduled to do and then turned it back off. Why can't I just relax? Why does it take my being sick or having a fever to take a rest day? I think I am addicted to working out...Do you guys ever go through this????

Have a Fabulous Day!!!!!

Namaste...

  1. I think I'd be so happy if I was addicted to working out. Most times I don't want to do it, but after I'm finished, I feel so much better!

  2. Your body definitely needs a day off every now and then and you need time to just relax! I do know what you mean though, it's that guilty feeling. But even on your days off you can do something active, maybe yoga?

  3. Sunday is supposed to be my off day and that is when I go to Yoga class but it didn't work out that way this week. I ended up doing an intense workout so I can eat yummy food at the feast...that is where the downward spiral began...

  4. I have before, yes, and I still struggle with it from time to time. I have a hard time with rest days in particular, I have to force myself to take them, but I usually still go for a short walk or do housework to stay "active" that day. I have started doing shorter workouts though because otherwise I would be exhausted.

I'm so glad I'm not watching that show this season. I'm usually angry at it, now I'll just get depressed, lol.

  6. i'm most definitely not addicted to working out :) but good for you for taking time off and resting. even though working out is beneficial to your overall health, sometimes i think listening to your body and knowing when to relax is even better.
