Structure

Good morning everyone! It is so beautiful today...the weather is nice and crisp....It is cold enough that I got to wear my cute Cardy Uggs today =)...

My wrist/hand is still hurting me today but I am hoping that I will be good as new come this weekend. I was thinking of maybe taking some time off from working out but the pain is not that serious.

Eats and Workouts;

Ayer for Lunch I had a Green Monster with Spinach, 2 scoops of Vanilla LMM, Peanut Butter, 1/2 a Frozen Banana, and Splenda

I could not get home fast enough and make Din Din lol. I roasted 1/2 a Sweet Potato in little bit of EVOO and Splenda, roasted Asparagus, Mushrooms, and Onions in EVOO, White Wine, and Salt, 1 Morningstar Farms Chicken Tender, Feta Cheese, and PB for the Sweet Potato. Wow this dinner was so good...

Align Right
I was hungry later in the evening but knew I could not have ice cream etc so I just made some Wild Berry Tea and called it a night

This morning I woke up and did 30 Day Shred Level 1 and EA Active which was and burned 440 Calories in 1 Hour.

While I was doing abs on the 30 Day Shred, I noticed this black thing on my ceiling. I thought it was a bug of some sort so I got my Swiffer and tried to kill it. Thank God I live on the last floor because I was pounding away but that thing was still there. I went and got my ladder and tried to get a closer look. I took a napkin and tried to peel it off but it was stuck to the ceiling...it was the damn GREEN MONSTER that spilled the other day! damn that sucker can fly ha

After my workout I had one scoop of LMM

And for Breakfast I had Oikos Honey Yogurt, 1/2 a Banana, and PB (all heated in the microwave) and my usual coffee.

Structure

Why is it that during the week I have better structure than on the weekends??? I can eat a Cupcake and call it dinner so that I wont go over my calories but on the weekends I don't think twice when it comes to over-eating. I need to figure out how to get structure during the weekend so that I don't undo all my hard work from during the week. Maybe I should have a cheat meal on Sunday night so I have something to look forward to during the weekend...any tips?

Have a great day!!!!

Namaste...

  1. I need better structure on the weekends too! I just try to focus on the ultimate goal. It usually helps me.

  3. we have one dinner out most weekends, and i let myself enjoy those (within reason of course!)
i also have started planning lunches because otherwise we get distracted, busy doing stuff, whatever, and then we start snacking or we get a slurpee or other not so good choices. we don't always stick to the lunches, but at least having a plan of them has helped a lot

  4. Weekends are hard because there is no schedule. I think having something to look forward to is a great idea and Sunday night will keep you on track for those couple of days. Hope the wrist feels better!

  5. I have struggled with weekends forever, mostly because I am at home as opposed to being at work, limited to the food I brought from home. It might not be the best, but what I do to keep me on track over the weekend is I made Monday my weigh in day!

  6. At least I am not the only one that goes through this on the weekends. It is just so easy to walk over and grab something when I am bored.

Sarah, I was thinking about doing that, my friend also mentioned it.

    Maybe I will...

  8. I'm going to look to your blog for lots of motivation ... I'm not at all disciplined so this "structure" issue is a problem for me too! Stay strong ... u're already way ahead of most of us!

  9. I think weekends are hard for everyone with the lack of structure/routine, more 'down time'. Maybe planning meals in advance or planning activities that don't involve food would help? Or just chalk it up to weekend living- it's not like you are eating zillions of calories over the weekend, and if your diet is healthy through the week, it's okay to loosen up a little on weekends. Just my $0.02...

  10. It is all about the moderation girl! I find that by giving myself little treats throughout the week, I can stave off binging. I used to be a total binger...put my around cereal and nutella and all hell would break loose. But now that I eat those on a regular basis, they hold less allure.

I love the idea of PB on a sweet potato - genius!

  11. I have the same problem with weekends! It's easy for me to eat well during the week because I have a more set schedule of time -- wake up early for work, eat a quick breakfast before leaving, have a snack later in the morning at work, eat a lunch that I've packed, head home and eat leftovers or a quick dinner. But on the weekends, I might be out and about, or just sitting around the house all day. Maybe that's the key -- better scheduling weekend time/activities and planning food around it like we do on the weekdays.
