I have always been very a superstitious person. When I was around 11 years old, I had a Horoscope calender and every day I would read it before I got out of bed. One day it said that I was going to have a really bad day and that I should stay home. When I told my dad that I was not going to school, he flipped out and I got hysterical "I can't go daddy!!! I CAN'T GO. SOMETHING BAD IS GOING TO HAPPEN!" and it did. I got grounded and my dad took away my calender....which BTW I found a few year later hidden in a Tupperware lol. So of course, I wanted to stay home today...not only is it Friday the 13th but it is such a dreary day! But here I am, sitting at my desk; hoping that I make it home in one piece =/....are you guys superstitious? Oh and btw Microsoft Word, I am not Irrational,Gullible, nor Illogical! I take offence to these synonyms on Word lol

Now to my Eats and Workouts:

Ayer for Lunch I had a Green Monster with Spinach (duh), Banana, PB, Splenda, and Water. Can I just say that I am having serious LMM withdrawals! Oh and someone asked me what LMM was...LMM is Light Muscle Milk (Protein Powder)...LMM makes Mariette a very happy girl and right now I am not happy! lol...I kid I kid

Oh and since I was wearing green ayer, it only seemed right that I pose with my Green Monster ha

And I also had a Mini Frittata which had Egg Whites, Roasted Pepper, Potato, Onion, 2% Cheddar Cheese, and Bacon
For din-din, I went to my mom's house =) She made Roasted Chicken with a Sausage based stuffing and Carrots, and a Pastelon de Platano. If you ever met a Dominican person before, you know that we use Plantains in EVERYTHING! To the point that Dominicans are referred to as "platanos" in the Hispanic Community. A Pastelon de Platano is a Plantain Casserole with Cheese and Meat. Pretty much think of a Lasagna and take out the Pasta and Marinara and add Plantains =)

I also snacked on some of this....c'mon I am strong but sometimes I am not THAT strong lol

This morning was a rough rough day to get out of bed. It was so cold and dark and all I wanted to do was sleep. My body was pretty sore so I kept it easy or at least tried to. I ended up doing 3 Mile Start Walking but when I would notice my HR getting under 80%, I would start doing Jumping Jacks and Ice Skaters lol. I ended up burning 348 Calories in 45 minutes.

I needed something to make to me smile this morning and nothing makes me happier than OATS IN THE JAR!
