Inspired….

Hey! I hope everyone is keeping warm on this cold COLD morning…my hands are still warming up lol brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I would love some Hot Cocoa right now =) with MARSHMALLOWS

Eats & Workouts

Ayer for Lunch I had 1/2 a cup of Brown Rice with 1 cup of Spanish Style Roman Beans with Onions and Peppers, I’m sorry of the same meals but I am trying not to order out (to save money and calories) and I make a huge pot for the week =)

For Dessert I had another Chobani Yogurt…this time I tried Strawberry flavored. I loved this one too but I think I prefer the Peach a little bit more, only because I never really find a Peach Yogurt that I like.

This one also had great Stats! I love that Greek Yogurt is packed with Protein =) nutition_strawberry

Like I mentioned last week, one of my favorite things about blogging is discovering new things and ayer was no different. I found myself inspired by so many differ blogs and I knew exactly what I wanted to make for din din. But first I had to make a quick stop to the Supermarket to get some of the things I needed for din din and the rest of the weekend

The Cranberries were on sale 2 for $5 but I was afraid that it would go to waste since I live alone and it would be pretty hard to consume two bags of Cranberries lol but then I saw this “Buy Two Freeze One” GREAT IDEA! DSCN3795

I was first inspired by Mansana whom is always eating Brussels Sprouts and whenever I read her blog, I have such a craving for them (I love to have them roasted). Then I was inspired by Amanda who made this yummy Cranberry/Apple Dressing that I knew I just had to make. And for dessert I wanted a PB & Chocolate open faced Sandwich which is always featured on Sarah's blog. And no evening is complete without some “Cookie Dough” and I have to thank April for introducing this combo to me.

First I coated the the Brussels Sprouts in EVOO, Garlic, and Salt and tossed them in the oven for about 40 minutes on 350 Degrees.  I then boiled 1/2 a cup of water with Splenda and tossed in half a bag of Cranberries and one Peeled and Sliced Gala Apple and let it cook until the sauce became thick; this made about 2 servings.

I love the Holiday Colors in this meal lol

For Dessert, I toasted one slice of White WW Bread and spread 1 tbsp of Natural PB and sprinkled 1 tbsp of Nestle Milk Chocolate Chips

And later in the evening for the “cookie dough” I used 2 tbsps of PB with 1 scoop of Chocolate LMM, Water, and SplendaDSCN3778

Have you been inspired by any other bloggers recently and if so, how?

Before bed I did Namaste Yoga: Dancing Sun Sequence.

****************************

This morning I slept in, once again…is anyone else having problems getting up in the morning since the change of season? do you have any tips???

I snuck in 20 minutes of Kettlebell and burned 201 Calories. Something is better than nothing =)

I think next week I am going to do a Morning Workout Challengedoes anyone want to join me? It will start on Monday morning and all you have to do is workout for at least 45 minutes before heading to work. Hopefully this will set the tone for the rest of the winter.

For Breakfast I had Oats in the Jar! with 1/2 a Banana and my regular coffee =)

Before I go, I want to say thank you to Gina for answering all my questions ayer and motivating me to keep trying. Thank you chickie, I really do appreciate it!

  2. I think we have similar brains-I just posted about how I love blogging/reading blogs because I get inspired by so many people! The latest inspiration is a faux rice made out of cauliflower. It's awesome!

  3. I love brussel sprout. And I just finished up some Greek yogurt with sliced bananas.

I'm always finding myself inspired by other bloggers. For instance, they were my sole inspiration for buying spaghetti squash, and I ended up loving it!

The blog world amazes me sometimes...

  6. oh its so much harder to get up in the winter time, the weather, its darker blahh just want to stay in bed!! tips would be to NOT snooze, I know its hard but just set your alarm and get right up when it goes off and that will train you not to lay in bed wishing you never had to get out!

  9. Thanks for the shout out there :) It looks like you are doing some great meal planning, and I love that oyu are trying not to eat out much. Can I tell you something? Eating out is the number one problem with people who are overweight, I swear. Try not to eat out more than once MAYBE twice per week, it will make a huge difference.

I love all of your purchases, especially the cranberries and brussel sprouts! Keep up the good work.

  17. I am inspired by other bloggers every day. Especially YOU.

Don't ever apologize for eating the same thing multiple times a week...this is real life and if you're cooking for yourself there are GOING to be leftovers! Delicious dinner by the way. Isn't homemade cranberry sauce so good? I also like to add some freshly squeezed orange juice to mine while I'm cooking it. It gives it a little extra oomph. And some cinnamon. You can't forget the cinnamon.

getting up in the winter is very hard, I would try to incorporate workouts at a different time and sleep later even if just for the winter time to give you time to rest :)

  23. Some blogs inspire me, some I am in awe off, some I love reading and others keep me coming back because they scare me. JUST as I thought your meals couldn't scare me anymore, you excel yourself with Brussels and Cranberry sauce! LOL!!!!!!

Don't get me wrong, delicious looking, just the combination of them both being served alone together that scares me.

The culinary equivalent of watching "The Grudge" alone, and in the dark! Love it!!! LOL!!!

  24. Hooray for PB & chocolate chips!! Yes, I too am having the worst time waking up in the mornings now which I have not struggled with in a long time, definitely has to be the season. Staying warm under the covers just seems so much easier!
