Crazy Saturday Night…

Hmmm not so much! unless you think a crazy Saturday night consists of blogging under a fleece blanket while you watch a marathon of Law & Order SVU…if so, then I am I living on the wild side lol.

I want to thank everyone for the questions you submitted on my previous post. If anyone else has any questions for me, feel free to ask! I will answer all of them on tomorrow’s blog.

Eats and Workouts

Ayer for din din, I decided to keep it light. I paired some Old London Roasted Garlic Melba Snacks with Campbell’s V8 Butternut Squash Soup

These Melba Snacks were really good…I have purchased them before in the past but the taste was different this time. According to the label it has a “New Bold Flavor”. It sort of reminded me if pizza, which is never a bad thing lol

As always it is still low in Calories…

I enjoyed my din din while I surfed the net! Can I just say that I love having internet access at home…I feel like a kid again, getting the net for the first time. I have to be careful that I don’t become consumed by it.DSCN4486

This morning I did some grocery shopping before heading to work at the gym. Did you know that fresh Cranberries are NOT sold all year round??? I found this out the hard way…I think I cried a little bit. Do you guys purchase frozen Cranberries? is it the same???

I was in such a rush this morning that I forgot to put on my HR watch so I skipped working out at the gym. Have you ever heard of the saying? "If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?" Well that is how I feel about my workouts and my watch. If I can’t record it, then it doesn't count lol. Which was fine by me because I still had to do my Jillian workout when I got home AND all the ladies at the gym were coughing up a storm and I felt no need to share their germs.

While I was at work, I had Blueberry Chobani. If any of you guys live near a Keyfood; Chobani is on sale 4 for 5 dollars.

I was starving today at the gym and I was craving all sorts of food, most of which were not that healthy. After work, I finally settled on some Ginza! I got 1/2 a Godzilla Roll, Liki 4, and 1/2 an Octopus Salad…both of the rolls were with brown rice. This was such a good meal…

So good that I passed out on the couch while I rubbed my Buddha Belly lol.

I woke up about 3 hours later and peeled myself off the couch and guzzled a lot of water. I don’t why some people are not fond of water? I love it!

Today is day 9 of my Jillian Challenge and let me tell you that it is not getting any easier. My body is so sore today and honestly all I wanted to do was loaf on my beloved couch but instead I got dressed and worked out. Today I did her Kickboxing DVD and I Want Those Abs and burned 319 Calories in 40 minutes. This was a short workout but I really didn’t have energy to do anything else.

About 2 weeks ago I won a giveaway on Mo's page which included 2  Progresso Bowls AND a can of soup. I decided to have soup again tonight for din din and thankfully I had this one to try…Progresso High Fiber Homestyle Minestrone Soup

It is pretty low in Calories and Fat but a little too high in sodium BUT my friend told me that they have a low sodium version which tastes just as good.

I really enjoyed this soup, especially because it was so hearty. Each spoonful looked like these two…

I'm watching a cheesy movie "My Life In Ruins" with that actress from My Big Fat Greek Wedding - it's actually kind of cute so far - she's 'endearing' ;) Cheers - and yes, I agree about soup , I hate when you open a can and it has only like two bites of actual food and the rest is broth - not cool :(

  5. Your doing great girl, I like her workouts but she seems to be hard on the knees. My knees always hurt through her workouts but not others. weird.

  6. Haha, glad you're putting that fleece blanket to good use.

    Frozen cranberries work just as well, but it depends on what you're making. Are you cooking it? Into a sauce, maybe? If so, it doesn't make any difference whether it's fresh or frozen.

    That is why I'm not a soup fan, they're all broth and more like a drink to me. I want a meal! The sushi looks yummy!

  9. Let me tell you about my wild saturday night. I studied. And then I studied some more. And then I biked at the gym. While studying. Crazy? Maybe. Fun? Not so much.

    That soup looks delicious. You should try their southwestern-style veggie one...it's my fav!

  10. Good call on the high sodium soupl, glad the low sodium version is decent though!

    Remember, don't ever let yourself get starving, that never leads to anything good. Always bring a snack with you ;)

    That dinner looks fantastic!! Even though you were starving when you ate it, I hope you enjoyed the heck out of it! What the heck is a Godzilla roll anyway???

  12. That is why I am so anti ready made stuff. Even things which claim to be low sugar, or low fat. Often tend to be crammed with salt (sodium) and often contain chemical stabilizers, and fillers.

    Even lo-sodium has likely alternative chemicals in there. Personally I would use judiciously.

    Although they are perfect for time saving snacks. I would eat sparingly.

    The diet drinks really scare me, Aspartame is thrown in these things far too liberally as a sweetener. How safe is it. Umm.

    A little "real" sugar is better, in my opinion, than alot of the fake stuff.

  17. I love wild saturday nights like those! Seriously, it's refreshing to just veg out sometimes.

    I am bummed about the cranberry sitch too. I wish I would have bought more earlier in the year and froze them. I can't even find frozen ones!
