Please Pray…

Before I even begin my usual post, I think we should take some time and focus on what really matters…the Earthquake in Haiti. We should all take some time out of our busy day and pray for the people that live there…We may believe in different Gods, Religions, Faiths etc but we all have one thing in common….Humanity!

You can go to CNN  for more info,  Red Cross to make donations, and Impact Your World to see various charities that you can donate to. Every dollar matters! You can also text "HAITI" to 90999 to donate $10 to Red Cross relief efforts in Haiti! You can also text “YELE” (Wyclef Jean’s foundation) to 501 501 and 5 dollars will go toward earthquake relief.

Haiti you are in my prayers!

It feels selfish to continue with my usual post...I will keep it short

Ayer after work I went home and had a light din din made up of roasted Brussels Sprouts with Cranberry and Apple Dressing. I didn’t want to eat anything too heavy since I was going to workout again at the gym with my sister and Mo

I went to the gym later in the evening and did 30 minutes of Elliptical and 30 minutes of Upper Body Strength Training and burned a total of 623 Calories

When I got back home I had Protein Cookie Dough

This morning, I woke up freezing! the Boiler in my building broke down so we don’t have heat or hot water!

I did Jillian’s Wii game and thankfully it was not that hard today. I ended up only burning 181 Calories in 30 minutes. I welcomed this easy workout since my body is still somewhat sore. I then took an ICE COLD shower…brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

For Breakfast I had Chobani Honey Yogurt with PB and 1/2 a Banana with my usual café con leche

I am going back to the gym after work with my sister…it should be fun =)

Have a great day everyone and please pray!

  1. it is so sad...a country already devastated gets hits with more. it is so unfair. my heart is with all of them...

  2. the earthquake is awful. I will definitely keep Haiti in my thoughts today.

Have fun at the gym with your sister today!

  3. def praying for haiti! so so so sad! gahh.
    have fun at the gym!

  4. I'll be keeping Haiti in my thoughts! So scary and tragic.

I am craving that warm yogurt and pb now thanks.

  5. I can't believe the images I'm seeing on CNN right now. My best friend is part of Doctors Without Borders and is trying to get there, but I guess they're having problems being able to fly in. They're doctors! It's so tragic :(

Good luck at the gym :)

  6. What happened is terrible. I'll be praying.

  7. It is beyond awful. Isn't is sad that some of our worst tragedies come from the weather itself? I will pray indeed...

  8. great intro post about haiti! it is so crazy what happened over there. my thoughts and prayers are with them

  9. girl look at you with all these stellar workouts :) i wouldn't have wanted to move from bed if my heat was broken! damn apt buildings.

love how crispy your bsprouts look :)

  10. Its really sad. Praying with you!

BTW: you are rockin out with the workouts!!!

Thanks for your comment today. That's kinda how I feel.

  11. I just read an article about sad. While I was in San Fran there was actually two earthquakes, and they're supposedly due for a big one sometime in the next 25 years. It's strange because here on the East coast I don't really think about earthquakes, but it's really sad and eye opening to hear about the damage they cause in people's lives.

  12. the earthquake in haiti is devastating!

in other sad news... i wont be at the gym. you broke my legs yesterday.

    just kidding.

next time you have no heat come to my house! its stiffling in my apt!

  13. Good for you for bringing up the Haiti tragedy in your post. I was indeed very selfish, and did not even mention it. Sometimes I think I passively ignore things that I feel I can not help with. It's pathetic. I wish I could fly there and help out, and trust me, I WOULD if I had the extra funds and time to take off work, I would love to go there and help. I am planning on donating what money I can. It really is devastating...and it makes me remember just how lucky we are to have never gone through something like that (well, here in COlumbus..).

On another note, your blog did not update on my blogroll. This seems to be an issue I have been having a lot lately and it's really weird. I don't get it.

  14. Praying, yes. Definitely praying :(

P.S. I deem you the QUEEN of Brussel's sprouts!!

  15. I am praying for Haiti! So scary and terribly sad!!

    <3 jess

  16. It is so terrible about Haiti. Thank you for taking time in your post to remind us to pray!

  17. Definitely in my prayers. It's just awful, and the poor country seems to get troubles after trouble!

On a more positive note...I'm stoked that you get to hang out with Mo. I've read her blog, and she seems like a fabulous, spunky, vivacious lady...very much like you! No surprise that you guys hit off!

  18. It is so sad that any nation, has to endure such a terrible tragedy and suffering.

As well as our prayers we should all make a donation to a charity, and be very thankful of all the things we have in our lives, even the things and people we sometimes complain about, which those poor souls, now do not.

  19. You should shower at the gym if you don't have hot water at home! I couldn't shower in cold water...I'm too much of a baby.

The Haiti situation is so terrible. My medical school has a medical center there that was absolutely demolished. Such a terrible thing for everyone...

  20. It is really an unbelievable tragedy, I hope everyone thinks about donating whatever they can!

Sorry about the cold shower, yuck.
