Coffee In My Oats???

Hello my loves!!!!! I hope everyone is having a great start to their week and if you are not, at least it is almost time to go home! SO YAY!

Ayer I enjoyed such a lazy Sunday and when I say lazy what I mean is lay on my couch and watch lifetime movies until I can’t keep my eyes open any longer. But thankfully I was not the only one doing this! I was chatting with Christel via twitter the whole time lol.

I did manage to have some yummy eats. The best thing about living in a small NY apartment is that I can still watch TV while I cook haha!

I guess I was still stuffed from Saturday night because I had no appetite on Sunday morning. I ended up sipping on a Green Monster which consisted of:

  • Spinach
  • 1/2 a Banana
  • 1 scoop of LMM
  • 1 tbsp of PB
  • Splenda


By the time Lunch rolled around my appetite was back to normal. I had a Low Carb Wrap filled with my Black Beans (with Onions and Peppers), 2% Colby and Monterey Cheese, Salsa, and Avocado Slices.


Dinner was just as good! WW Pasta with Mushrooms and Brussels in PB, Teriyaki Sauce, and Hot Szechuan Sauce


I may or may not have overdosed on some mini Luna Bars…I won’t get into the numbers but let’s just say it was a FULL MOON!


This morning I was excited because I knew I was going to start my day with some OIAJ! But these were not going to be any regular OIAJ, they were going to have a twist this morning. Katherine mentioned ayer on her post that she added coffee to her oats and I just had to try it! I cooked the Oats in Coffee, extra Water, and some Splenda and then poured it into my PB Jar and added 1/2 a Banana…I loved it! I am definitely going to add this into my breakfast rotation! The oats reminded me of Coffee flavored ice cream…next time I will add more splenda because I like my “coffee” very sweet. I also  had my usual cafe con leche on the side.


I guess having a lazy day ayer and all that coffee this morning paid off because I had such a kick ass workout this afternoon. First I started off with Jillian’s Boost Your Metabolism and then I did Chest, Back, Arms, and Abs from Jackie’s new workout and ended it with a nice Foam Roller Stretch…I burned a total of 728 Calories in 90 minutes.

After my workout, I refueled with a Low Carb Wrap filled with Spanish Style home made Roman Beans, 2% Colby and Monterey Cheese, Avocado Slices, and Salsa.




I am off to spend some time with Dante, catch up on blogs, and read some magazines…I live a hard life, I tell ya! lol

    How do you burn so many calories in a workout? Do you use a HRM? I did 30 mins between elliptical and rowing machine today and was just over 100 :(

    Coffee oats sound so amazing. I have some instant hazelnut coffee that is screaming to be used with chocolate protein powder for some nutella oats...

  4. Mmmm, coffee in oats sounds kinda delic. I don't drink coffee anymore though:( Gave it up 6mos ago.

    Hubby made fun of me for watching Lifetime all day. Hey, we all deserve lazy Lifetime marathon days;)

    We live in a small apt in downtown Chicago so we can basically see the TV from the entire living area.

  12. I wonder if my husband would like coffee and oats. I'm always trying to spice up his oatmeal in the morning...and he loves coffee..Hmmm, I should maybe try it.

    Do you plan out ahead of time what you're going to eat? You have such a fun variety.

    I am amazed by how many calories you burn in your workouts. Even when I run hard for an hour, I burn only just over 500. But that is running really hard. I did Jillian's Boost you Metabolism and my HRM said I burned less than 100 in the 25 minute workout.

  21. if i didn't already drink enough coffee to kill a toddler most i'd so try those oats... but i think as it is my body may declare mutiny if i add more caffiene to my life!

  22. Coffee oats sound really good! I had oats in a jar for the first time yesterday morning and they were delish! Jealous of your lazy day!

  23. Yeah for kick ass workouts!! That coffee must have helped. Here I thought you just put some ground coffee in your oats, but you actually used brewed coffee!?! I love it. I sometimes make my smoothies with coffee, and it usually taste pretty delicious.
    Your wrap, with the beans flowing out of it, it making my salivate BIG TIME.
