Press Pause…

I love the day after it finally stops raining…for some reason the sky always looks so beautiful. It is a crisp morning in the city…I love when they use that word “crisp” to describe the weather….lol it makes it sound refreshing.

Eats and Workouts

Tuesday morning I did Level 1 of 30 Day Shred with 5 and 8 pound weights and then did some Foam Roller stretches and burned a total of 255 Calories.

For Breakfast I had a bowl of Kashi Oatmeal with Peanut Butter and 1/2 a Banana with my usual cafe con leche.

For Lunch I had a yummy Green Monster…this one consisted of:

  • Spinach
  • 1/2 a Banana
  • 5 Strawberries
  • 1 scoop of Chocolate Light Muscle Milk
  • 1 tbsp Peanut Butter
  • 1/2 a Packet of Kashi Oatmeal
  • Splenda
  • Water

Later in the afternoon, I ran to the supermarket to stock up on some essentials…

And then to CVS to pick up some MORE goodies…

For dindin I  made Tofu Stir-fry with Brussels, Mushrooms, Teriyaki Sauce, Red Pepper Flakes, Hot Szechuan Sauce, and Peanut Butter. At the last minute, I decided that I wanted pasta in there so I did the logical thing…Throw in uncooked pasta! hmmmm maybe not the best idea lol. It actually turned out yummy because I added more water and let the pasta cook in all the sauces and eventually it softened up.

Later on in the evening, I did Exhale Core Fusion; Upper Body Sculpt 2 which I have had sitting on my DVR for a couple of months oops. This is the first time I ever did any of the Core Fusion workouts and it reminded me of Cardio Barre. I loved using light dumbbells and higher reps. I burned 86 Calories in 22 minutes.

After that I decided to “press pause” and just relax. I filled up my tub with Hot Water, Epsom Salt, Mr. Bubbles, and body wash from Bath & Body Works. I put on my iTouch and just enjoyed the moment…I usually can’t relax when I am taking a long bath but this time I made a conscious effort to just zone out. When I was done, I felt like I recharged my battery. I am going to do this at least 4 times a week!

This morning I had to run to the bank and I decided to sneak in a workout. I walked there and back and wore my HR Monitor & Nike+. I walked for 35 minutes, 1.5 Miles and burned a total of 218 Calories. My foot started to hurt a little bit so I stopped at Rite Aid and picked these babies up. I hope they help with the pain (((((fingers crossed)))))

I really enjoyed this but next time I will add more Preserves AND another Laughing Cow Wedge.

Now I am here playing the waiting game. Ayer I was driving and singing at the top of my lungs “Lost without you! Can’t help myself…” and BOOM my radio died! My mechanic said he will check it out today but he gave me the “I’ll call you” line…

I am off to catch up on blogs!

Namaste…
