Allergies Suck!

Hey loves! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day! I am a little under the weather because of my allergies…I even had to miss a Mets game ayer =/ with my two favorite M’s….sad panda

Today I woke up and thought Darth Vader was sleeping next to me but NOPE it was just me haha

Running Update

I have taken a little hiatus from running until my leg gets 100 percent better…I do miss it a lot but I know that this is what I have to do for the long run (pun intended). I have been doing a lot of weight training as well as breaking out some of my old workout DVDs like Turbo Jam.

Eats

Here are some eats of the past few days…

Oat Bran with Splenda, Cinnamon, and Vanilla Extract with a Banana and PB

Pineapple Chobani DSCN7117

Since I loved the Riserva Buitoni so much the other day, I decided to try their Whole Wheat Four Cheese RavioliDSCN7118

I topped it with Sautéed Mushrooms, Vodka Sauce, and Reduced Fat Grated Parmesan

It was pretty good…I enjoyed the Riserva a little more BUT this was definitely a healthier alternative.

I have been snacking on homemade Chocolate and Banana Protein muffins with Chocolate Chips and Raisins while I study..

Oikos Honey Yogurt with 1/2 a Banana, PB, and crumbled Muffin

  1. Sucks about your allergies and still not being able to run. But good for you with keeping up with weight lifting- that extra strength will definitely help when you're ready to hit the pavement again!

And, omg, you just reminded me that I NEED some hot 'n' sour soup soon. Might have to pick up a giant container to-go on the way home from work tonight! I don't care if it's supposed to be 80+ degrees today, haha.

  2. Aww....sad panda...:-(
Hope your allergies clear up soon. I wonder if there's any natural way to remedy that? Tea? Ginger? Ginseng? (why am I so Asian?)

We don't have pollen here, so no such thing as allergies here in Singapore...

  3. I have been getting kicked by allergies too! But I just bought some local honey and have been putting it in my tea. Two people recommended that to me and it seems to be working. I'm still coughing a little but not nearly like I was. Hang in there!

  4. Allergies aren't bothering me yet, but I'm sick of the pollen all over my car. It looks like someone clapped erasers over my hood.

  5. sorry about your allergies...that SUCKS. Big time. :( I used to get really bad hayfever but it's gotten better as I have gotten older. I also used to be allergic to chocolate! AAAAAAH. No more, thankfully.

MMmMMMMMM. Why is Chinese soup so good?

  6. Aw allergies suck. Anything that gets in the way of our nights out sucks in fact! Feel better soon so we can go have a drink at the Burro!

  7. I love the Buitoni whole wheat pasta! I rarely eat it, but enjoy it when I do.

No allergies, to speak of, for me. I had a few bouts of something a few weeks ago, so that may have been allergies. I never had them as a kid, and now as I get older I think they are coming on more :(

    I hope you feel better!!

  13. I was coughing the other day, ok, who am I kidding, I am still coughing, but it started the other day, and I thought it was because I was sitting near people smoking. Then I thought it was a cold, but now I am wondering if I have developed some sort of allergy. Wouldn't be unheard of since I live in the dampest place on earth and mold at a rapid rate! Feel better.

  14. I don't have bad allergies, but my friends who do say they've been really feeling them lately! Good luck with the running hiatus. Someone once told me when I was injured, "do you want to run for a couple weeks and then be out for the rest of your life, or do you want to take a couple weeks off and then be able to run forever" and it really stuck with me.

  15. Those scoops of peanut butter look amazing.
I don't know if its allergies or what but I've been feeling blah for a few days now. Frustrating.

  16. I had a massive allergy headache today myself. I hope this rain washes away the allergens! I'm so proud of you for listening to your legs and taking some time off!

  18. Oy. I know how you feel about your leg. I have officially been diagnosed with TWO stress fractures. Both in my pelvis. Awesome. If I wasn't getting laid before (which I wasn't). Then I definitely won't be now LOL. So now I'm hyped up on calcium and am going to see an endocrinologist. Double awesome.

Moral of the story - REST!

Your eats look oh so awesome!

  19. Ugh, I don't have the soar through but I do have the sneezing and the runny nose. Still not fun. In fact, you just reminded me I need to bring allergy meds with me on my trip! The non drowsy ones, of course.

I love the whole wheat ravioli idea. I didn't even know they made whole wheat! That's awesome.

Have a great weekend MAri. Kick those allergies in the BUTT

  20. I hope you get a good rain to wash all of the pollen out of the air! This is a brutal time of year. My allergies haven't been bad, but I noticed yesterday that when I closed the window that had been open all day, there was a coating of yellow pollen on all of the furniture. Yuck!

  21. Ha, I was going to comment "allergies suck!" and then realized that is a little redundant! I feel ya tho, I've been stuffed up allll week, blah. Feel better!!!

  22. Hot and Sour soup is my go to when I'm feeling icky. I just feel like it clears my sinuses out completely. My allergy problems have been non existent (knock on wood) but let's see if they act up when I go on a hike this wknd. Hope your legs feel better soon.
