Today is officially my last day in the 20’s! and honestly I am all sorts of excited! I feel like a fine wine; I am getting better with age. You guys saw me in my early 20’s…I would not go back to THAT for anything in the world. I am living a healthy active life and have met so many great people in the process.
Birthday Dinner Update:
I decided that I will have my birthday dinner at 7 PM on Friday the 23rd at 5 Burros. I WAS going to do it in the City but the trip from the city to 71st and Continental is not that bad so hopefully you guys can make it. Please email me, if you are planning to come…I am going to get there a little early to get us a table and I need a head count =). Thank you in advance to those who are coming out to celebrate my cumpleaño! =) I really appreciate it and can’t wait to toast my 30’s with you!
Eats and Workouts:
On Friday, I did some shopping with my family and then we headed to the Jardin De China for din din. I have mentioned this place before on my blog; I have been going here since I was in my mom’s belly and basically grew up eating here. I always get the rice and beans with some sort of meat so this time was going to be a little different. I studied and STUDIED the menu and eventually decided on the Baked Fish with Shrimp
I was a little disappointed with the fish, it tasted too fatty. I ended up eating all the shrimp and just some of the Fish.
I also had the Rice and Beans….
After din din we went on a search for dessert. We KNEW what we wanted but had a hard time finding it. Finally we found it! Mamita’s Ice!

I had the Raspberry Cream Ice which was so good and only 170 Calories!
I contacted the company and I am hoping to get a tour of their establishment….Another tidbit; their headquarters is right near my house!
On Saturday morning I had one of my muffins with Oikos Honey Yogurt and my usual Cafe Con Leche with FF Milk
I spent most of the day like this
And I did a lot of STUDYING!
For Lunch I made myself a Black Bean Burger with Mayo and Ketchup Mix, Nature’s Pride Bun, Tomato, and Wasabi Peas!
And some water with Crystal Light’s Kiwi and Strawberry Pure Fitness
For din din, I ended up having 2 protein muffins with PB…I was studying and lazy and not in the mood to cook.
Sunday Morning I overslept and had to rush to make it to my Intensati class.
Before heading out, I had a protein muffin with PB and my usual Cafe con Leche
My 12th IntenSati workout was hardcore! Erika really knows how to push us to our limits but ayer was extra hard because the AC was breaking down! Every time I attend her class, I feel like a badass in a hip hop video! I always leave the class walking with some extra swag hahaha. Sadly this might be my last class with Erika. She announced ayer that she will be going on Tour with Rock Of Ages! (CONGRATS LADY!!!!) but unfortunately she will be out for the next 2 weeks and comes back for 2 more and then leaves for 6 months! And since the challenge is over in 2 weeks, ayer was my last class with her.
When I got home from the gym, I refueled with a Green Monster made with Strawberries, cup of FF Milk, Splenda, Spinach, and 1 scoop of Light Muscle Milk
And Wasabi Peas!
For din din I was craving pasta. I made some Buitoni Pasta 4 Cheese Ravioli with Vodka Sauce and a Side Salad with Lettuce, Tomato, Reduced Fat Feta Cheese, and dressing (POM juice with Splenda)
Even though we are in the middle of a heat wave, I still had the urge to bake! Mari needs her Muffins! ::insert cookie monster voice here::
Nothing makes me happier than a Fresh out of the oven Muffin! (until I burn my tongue! will I ever learn?)
This morning I found it march harder to get up…I didn’t roll out of bed until 4:50 which thankfully was okay since the gym I was going to today was a little closer.
Today was my 13th workout AND you know how much I HATE that number! But there was nothing unlucky about Darbi’s Class! Before class, I chatted a bit with Norn whom introduced me to some more people (thanks Norn!). BTW ya’ll should Check out his take on the Warrior Challenge! He goes into more depth as to what we are doing…I don’t do the classes any justice lol. Today’s theme was Heart’s Joy and we had to yell out affirmations such as “I am Brilliant” “I am Sexy” “I’m Devine”. I love that Darbi makes us interact with one another, at one point she split the class in two and one side had to yell the affirmations and the other side had to repeat it. It looked al little chaotic but it was still a lot of fun.
This morning I was planning to have a yogurt mess for Breakfast but before class, I was talking to Chelsea and she mentioned that she was doing a juice cleanse and that just made me crave a Green Monster for breakfast. This one consisted of Spinach, Strawberries, Iced Coffee, and Splenda and paired it with a Banana and Chocolate Protein Muffin with a little bit of Peanut Butter.
