Hello loves!!!!! I hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend! I had a great day…Tiffany is visiting NYC and Mo and I had the pleasure to finally meet her!
We decided to give her a tour of NYC but not to the touristy places…it ended up being a Foodie NYC Tour =) unfortunately I forgot to put my battery back into my camera after it finished charging it so all of my pictures are from my phone. Fail!
We all met by Tif’s hotel in Time Square and fueled up with some Starbuck’s…I had a Venti Skinny Latte with a Banana…
We then hopped on the train (Tif’s first time!) and headed over to Union Square and checked out Max Brenner. OMG this place smelled so good! It reminded of the Valentines Day stickers I used to buy when I was a little girl…the ones you would scratch and they smelled like chocolate!
They even had Chocolate Pizza!!!!
We didn’t buy anything but we did take pictures lol
Mo was having camera issues too…
I fell in love with this mirror “It is so simple, you just need to love Chocolate” AMEN!
We then walked to our next destination…and of course took pictures along the way…
I don’t even know how to describe this picture lol…
Check out this Spooky Mobile! The guy was nice enough to stop so I could snap a picture.
We arrived at our next location for lunch…which was S’MAC (Sarita’s Macaroni + Cheese)
They had so many things to choose from!
Tiffany and Mo decided to split the Sampler…
I love that it came with a diagram so you know what you are eating…
MMM Cheeeeeesy!
I ordered the Nosh (small) Napoletena…Fresh Mozzarella, Roasted Tomatoes, Roasted Garlic, and Fresh Basil…this was heaven on my lips
We digested and then kept walking around the city…I came across the “best” burger in the world so of course I had to take a picture with it! This is the only “meat” that will touch these lips in a looooong time!
Our next stop on the food tour was Pommes Fritas; Authentic Belgian Fries…
While Tif and Mo were inside ordering their fries, I was in awe of this car! Freaking beautiful…
They were able to grab a booth and enjoy their fries in the cool restaurant….I stole a couple lol. At the table next to us some girls were talking and one said “blogger” and our ears perked up lol..we immediately started talking to them =)
We then walked over to Crumb’s Bake Shop
Team Edward or Team Jacob?????
I told myself that I would only buy a cupcake if they had a Rainbow Cookie Cupcake, sadly they didn’t so I passed….
After leaving Crumb’s, we walked over to the Village which is my favorite part of NYC…and it is also the home of Gray’s Papaya!
I obviously didn’t eat a hotdog so instead I snapped pictures while they enjoyed it =)
After that we headed over to Washington Square Park…this place holds a very special place in my heart. When I was finally allowed to hangout in the city in my teen years, this was always the place I would want to come to…like I said, I LOVE the Village!
We all had to snap pictures with the sign…
It was so hot and all I wanted to do was jump in the fountain!!!!
Mo almost did!!!!
This was made out of sand…so pretty.
We did a little more walking around the Village, so that I could show Tif some of my favorite places and then we headed back to Union Square, where they were giving out FREE HUGS!
She was actually hugged about 10 times! I was cracking up…
We enjoyed some more Starbuck’s Iced Coffee and enjoyed the view…
The food tour was over UNTIL Tiffany said “Hey guys, what’s a Knish?” Mo and I stopped dead in our tracks and I walked over to nearest vendor “Can I get a Knish with Mustard”
And with that, our NYC Foodie Tour Ended…we took Tif back to her hotel and sadly said goodbye =/….she needs to move here!!!!
I am happy to say that even though it was a food tour, I pretty much behaved and only had 2 Venti Skinny Iced Lattes, 1 Banana, the Mac & Cheese Dish, and a couple of Fries with sauce =) AND WE WALKED SO MUCH! Calories don’t count when you are walking right???? lol
Namaste…
Nope! they certainly dont count. what a great recap. I say this as my feet are soaking in a hot soak. boy do they hurt!
ReplyDeletei had an amazing time! and cant wait to detox on Monday ! lol
Ha! I love your walking food tour. Definitely the best kind of walking tour. And you did SO WELL resisting temptation. So proud of you.
ReplyDeleteI still haven't been to S'MAC...need to take a trip.
And I can't believe that Crumbs has calorie info now! That's a buzzkill. I have to say, I wasn't entirely impressed with them when I had them. The consensus is that my cupcakes are better. :P
Looks like you ladies had a great time! It was the perfect day for exploring!
ReplyDeleteSo...what is a KNISH?! That is one packed, fun-filled, food day! The mac and cheese looks amazing. Good thing you walked everywhere!
ReplyDeleteI love your dress and it looks really nice on you. Can I say that? I also love your hair down and that's all.
ReplyDeleteYou girls look like you had a great time!

Looks like fun!! I want to go on a food tour in NYC with you. I'm jealous.
ReplyDeleteYes, you did well, for sure. Especially because of all that walking! I'm sure that made up for all those calories. And, good thing that burger was fake ;)
so cute, Mo is toooo funny. ha!
ReplyDeleteI don't care if Crumbs shows calories, I eat them and enjoy every bit of it! =)I love the pina colada and the cappucino!

Chocolate pizza, macaroni samplers, and cupcakes...this is my version of Heaven I tell ya! I wish I could have been part of this food tour with you girls!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome foodie tour! Holy shit - a mac and cheese restaurant - that is heaven on a plate!
ReplyDeleteHope the rest of your weekend was fun!
LOVE IT!! Thank you so much for coming out to show me around, it was definitely a highlight of my trip. I keep telling everyone about Smac and they are totally jealous of me so rock on. I killed my last Crumbs today and think I cried a little on the inside.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, I got back to the hotel and looked at my feet and looked like I took some of the NYC asphalt with me, fail. I am still trying to scrub it off.
I forgot how funny the group hug was with Mo especially with the girl in the belly shirt, they were all about the love.
Love ya!!!
PS--The phone pics turned out great!
Love the food tour!!
ReplyDeleteYum it all looks so good! I love the Team Edward and Jacob cupakes. Yes I saw the movie last night. Edward is a hottie :) You look very cute with your hair down! I feel like that was the first time I ever saw it down! Lol
ReplyDeleteYou're a great hostess!
ReplyDeleteI <3 Max Brenner Chocolate. I would love to move into that store and stay there forever and ever :) As for S'Mac, I've never heard of them until now and best believe I'll be taking a trip there ASAP!
TOO cute! I'm so jealous you got to meet Mo and so jealous that Mo got to meet YOU! You guys sure made progress over NYC! That mac'n'cheese...omg! And the Edward and Jacob desserts! Ha! I just love it! And it looked like a beautiful day!
ReplyDeleteLove the foodie tour. That is what I feel like when I go to NYC. I am literally hoping from one food place to the next. Looks like a fun time. I would love to try that mac and cheese. I will look into that the next time I visit.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, my husband would FREAK over that mac & cheese place. Washington Square Park was one of my favorite things about NYC when I visited last year. I need to come back!! ;-)
