Last night I met Missy and Monique at the Samsung Store near Columbus Circle for the event…

When we walked in, we were greeted by a great looking spread…

Even though everything looked amazing; I decided to pass on the appetizers since I knew we were going to Whole Foods for din din.

After the meet and greet…the seminars began…

Last night the speakers consisted of:

Carolyn Kelly North: "Dump the Slumps! Ways to Boost Your Mood when 'Dating Fatigue' Sets In"
Helen Kim: "A Woman's Guide to Your Money Relationship"
Kathryn Kaycoff-Manos and Lauri de Brito: "Fertility 101: Essential Tips for the Single Woman"

All the topics were great but the one that really stuck out to me was Carolyn who spoke about dating the same type of guy. A lot of us tend not to give certain guys a chance because he does not meet all of our criteria's “too young…too old…not cute enough…doesn’t make enough money…etc” but if we keep up that process, we might miss out on a great man. I for one am guilty of this…I used to always refuse to date a guy who is younger than me but what if I click with a guy who is a few years younger, should I just dismiss him because of his age? Hey it worked for Demi and Ashton hahaha.

She also mentioned those books that tell us to be Bitch to get a guy and she said something that made us all crack up…”If you act like a Bitch you will marry a Bastard!”. SO TRUE!!!!! It was a great event and I learned a lot of things that I am going to put into action…stay tuned lol

Ohhh we also received gift bags and mine contained this!!!!!!

After it was over, Missy and I headed to Whole Foods for din din…sidenote: you should not put two hungry bloggers who have ADD in Whole Foods. I swear we walk around like idiots looking for things to eat but we ALWAYS end up getting the same thing lol.

I had my usual Spicy Shrimp Tempura Brown Rice Roll

And Stacy Cinnamon Sugar Pita Chip…

Ohhh my day just got better!!!!!! My boots just arrived!

Have a great day loves!!!!!!!

  1. Haha, love it! I have ADD in Whole Foods too, I could wander around in there forever. Sounds like a great event, I'm glad you had a good time! :)

  2. i had fun... and you totally called me out for being a moron last night. I went ahead and got verbal confirmation. To sum it up: I will no longer wonder for i have all the info i need to build a bridge and get over it. Thank you for being a real friend.

and in otehr news. i had a great time last night and cant wait to hang with my fav M's again

  3. Sounds like great fun! I can totally see how it is easy to get stuck in the "same guy" rut. I think USB is special/different. :) Hehe.

  4. Love the boots! Sounds like you guys had fun.

  5. It's very true to not lock yourself into a certain "type" of guy. Look at me...if I had I wouldn't be where I am today! :) Cute always have cute boots!!!!!!!!!

  6. Hah so true about us and the ADD! We must have wondered for at least 20 minutes even though we were starving!! Can't wait for the weekend!

  7. What an awesome event! I think it's so funny the way most girls think they need to manipulate guys any way they can. So silly.

God I can't go into WF hungry. That would just be a serious disaster.

  8. You guys always go to the coolest events! I am jealous.

I love those boots! So cute!

  9. This event sounds like a blast!! I'm glad oyu had a nice time, Mari. Although I have to say, I do consider myself a major B*TCH at times (only when someone realllly makes me mad!), but I am going to marry someone who is just the opposite. Nick has taught me to be a better person. He is seriously never mean to ANYONE (ugh, I hate him). The only time he gets upset is in the car when there is ample distance between him and the other person. Either way, I think overall that is a true statement. I'm a sweetie at heart...I think.

  10. Sounds like a fun event, and nice looking food...and goodies too.

  11. Looks like a fun event and blog meetups are always fun!

  12. You girls go to the best events :) So jealous. Once the baby is born I promise to be back in NYC!

  13. mmm i LOVE stacy's cinnamon chips!

and i agree we need a 5 burros reunion asap!
