Adjusting…

Hello my loves!!!!!! I hope you guys are enjoying this beautiful weather (if you are on the east coast)…it has been so long since I have seen the sun that I almost forgot what it looked like. Spring is right around the corner and I am loving this weather! I have been making the best of it and walking whenever I get a chance…the other day I had to get homefries from school when I was done at the gym and I enjoyed the 3 mile walk from the gym to her school and even took a small detour so that I could sneak into the park…I was literally smiling the whole way lol.

***********************************************

Things have been going really great at the gym…I am meeting a lot of the members and have been doing a lot of Fitness Evaluations; I test them on their strength and endurance and I also take their measurements etc. I even trained a couple of people!!!! I am living my dream and it feels amazing! But it does not go without some minor adjustments…I feel like I am NEVER home! and when I am, I am catching up on house cleaning or laundry.

My meals have looked a lot like this…

I try to start almost every day with a Green Monster…it really helps with my energy…

I also have been frequenting my local Subway at least 3 times a week, it is bad when they know what I want without me even having to tell them…I even have enough subway points to get a free sammie! lol

The hardest adjustment would have to be, making time and having ENERGY to do my own workouts…but I have to remember that this is what I want and just do it! Today I was planning to go for a run but when I woke up it was cloudy and blah so instead I did a full body circuit routine at home. It consisted of upper; bicep curls (front and side), overhead tricep extensions, and tricep extensions in static lunge postion…lower: side squats, squats/bicep curls with medicine ball, forward lunges with core rotation while holding medicine ball, and core: figure 8’s with balance ball, leg to hand ball pass, and roll outs on balance ball. I kept my HR up between sets by doing jumping jacks, plank jumping jacks, burpees, side jumps, ski jumps, mountain climbers etc…the whole routine took a little over an hour and I managed to burn 513 calories. SUHWEET!!!!

Well I am off to take a load out of the dryer..Enjoy your weekend!!!

And stay tuned…Namaste Mari is turning 2 years old and I am celebrating by having a giveaway!

Namaste…

  1. So happy to hear things are going well at the gym! I just ordered my ACE materials this week, so it's cool to hear about your experience as a new trainer- thanks for the inspiration!

You've also reminded me that it's been waaaaay too long since I had a Green monster. I think I need to make it happen tomorrow with the last bit of spinach in the fridge.

  3. I can't even begin to imagine how busy you must be but I am SO happy for you! Live the dream girl.

Love that you're sneaking in workouts wherever you can! My new favorite thing to do is squats whenever I'm standing around doing nothing. Like blow drying my hair or waiting for water to boil. Lol.

  4. I'm so glad to hear you are living your dream, and living every minute. Like you, I have my dream job, but even a dream job comes with drawbacks. I have several things I still complain about, but I know I shouldn't.

Can't wait for the giveaway! Happy almost two year anniversary. That reminds me....mine is coming up too!!

  7. Okay, if my green monster looked like that, I would actually drink it. I think I am still the last food blogger on earth not to have made one yet!

  10. Glad you are doing well. I hope the weather keeps getting warmer, but I am in the US now and we had snow last night. It sucks! Oh well. I go to Subway on occassion. It is the only fast food on the island and I don't entirely consider it in the same category as most other fast food places.
