Did that get your attention?!?!
Sorry for being MIA, I have been going through some personal things for the past couple of weeks (if we are friends on FB you might have an idea, what I am talking about) and just had no urge to post. But here I am…I can never stay away too long from you guys.
Work has been going great…I love what I do so I can’t complain…okay maybe I do when I am at the gym for over 13 hours but I digress.
And since I don’t have enough things on my plate…I decided to add one more…I am officially studying to become a Lifestyle and Weight Management Coach!
And I have the best Study Partner….
But just like his mommy…he suffers from ADD and rather play
or lay on my lap and yell at me to stop studying…
He is the best!!
Now back to my blog title….
My 1/2 marathon is just a month away and my training has been far from great…I have been emotionally and physically wiped out and sometimes the last thing I want to do is put on my sneakers and go for a run, and yesterday was no different. I had a 9 mile run scheduled and my plan was to wake up at 5 am and try to knock it out before heading to the gym…but seriously who am I trying to kid? My bum was too scared to go out at the time for a run so instead I hit snooze and cuddled with my baby.
After working at the gym, I came home and kept thinking of every excuse NOT to run and it almost worked but then around 8pm I read Jess’s latest post “Say it Do it” and it was just what I needed to get my ass out the house.
And I also did something that I have never done before…I left my music at home!! Jess and I actually had a discussion about this the other day and I decided to try it out, especially since it was dark out and I wanted to be aware of my surroundings. I must admit, I enjoyed running “naked”…I got to focus on my breathing and soaked in the sounds of nature….wind blowing…crickets..people playing dominoes in their backyard etc.
And I am happy to say that I ran my longest distance EVER! My pelvis area was hurting but I kept on going…towards the end, I kept reciting what I tell my clients “You Got This!”
