Almost There…

Sooooooo I got the best email ayer…

I'm in

All my hard work in 2011 has paid off and I qualified for the ING NYC 2012 Marathon!!!!!!!

I have to be honest though because this blog is my place to spill my emotions and fears…I am terrified of doing this. These are the doubts going through my head:

“Will I fail?”

“what if my knee blows out like at the half marathon?”

“Will my hip be okay?”

“Am I ready for all this training?”

“Will I let everyone down?”

and last but not least

“WILL I FINISH??”

I have spent sleepless nights and may or may not have googled “Am I ready to run a marathon”….

I will keep you guys posted on my decision but I also want to thank all of you for following my journey and hopefully you will follow my steps all the way to the starting line…

Namaste…

  1. You can do it! And it wouldn't be worth doing if you weren't afraid. But just know that no matter what you do, NO ONE here will feel let down. You have plenty of time, no need to worry yourself.

  2. I registered! Here's what I would do. Register, and then you can always defer it another year if you need to! But at least you'll have the entry if you decide you want it!

  3. I agree with Joanne. It is scary. It is hard. But if I could encourage anyone to push their mind and bodies to one place in this world, it would be to the finish line of a marathon. It's life-changing...seriously. Congrats, girl!

  4. I think you can do it! Look how far you've come with your running in the last year! I know how scary it must be but think about how amazing you will feel when you cross that finish line. I will be there with a "prepared" poster lol.
