Monday Morning Rambles: How Do I Sneak In More Protein Into My Meals?

Happy Monday my loves! I hope everyone had an amazing weekend. I had such a good weekend filled with working with clients, great workouts, binge watching Netflix, and running!
The folks over at Dailyburn reached out to me and wanted to know ways that I include protein in my recipes to keep me full longer. As most of you know, I pretty much start all my mornings with a “Green Monster” and I always make it a point to add protein to it.
Today’s Green Monster included:
1 scoop of Protein Powder
1/3 cup egg whites
1/2 cup Strawberries
1 tbsp Chia Seeds
2 cups Spinach
1 cup of Almond Milk
1 tsp. of Truvia

We have had the longest winter ever and maybe you want a warm breakfast to start your day like oatmeal which is heavier in carbs. I have a trick for you…while your oats are cooking mix in some egg whites. I promise you guys that if you add enough spices like cinnamon and a little bit of sweetener, you will not notice the difference!

  1. I make a green smoothie after my workouts almost every day but never thought of adding egg whites. This sounds like a great idea. We'll see if I try it out in the near future. Thanks for sharing.
