I hope you guys had a wonderful weekend. My weekend consisted of lots and lots of studying and I am loving every moment of it. I remember at one point this weekend, I told my niece "I have to study" and she reminded me "no titi, you GET to study". One, I was impressed that she actually listens to me and two, she is right! I am so lucky that I was accepted into the program. Sunday morning when I was studying, I could not help but smile because I am doing it... I am living my dream.
Something else exciting happened over the weekend....Zen was able to go on walks with me! Last week, I was debating on getting him a stroller to take him to the vet because it is getting quite expensive taking an uber each time. I was on the fence about purchasing it but after forgetting my phone when I took him on Wednesday (and not being able to uber it back home), the decision was clear...get the damn stroller.
Initially I was getting it solely for vet visits but I wanted to test it out on Saturday morning. I chose to do it REALLY early; partly because I didn't want him to get scared with so many people and cars but MOSTLY because I did not want people staring at us. I had mentioned it on my instagram story that I made this decision and received a couple of private messages from people like "cats are not meant to go on walks like dogs" and "I don't want to judge you but..."
I'm sorry but who came to the law that cats are meant to stay inside all the time? The last time that I checked, Zen didn't commit any crimes and was not on house arrest.
Did I get strange looks this weekend? Yup. Did some people make comments about it? Yup. Did a little girl yell out "daddy look! a cat is in the stroller"? Yup.
Do I care? Nope!
For those few minutes, Zen was happy and experiencing new things. Granted, this story is about Zen and I but... The moral of the story is...who cares what people think. If YOU are happy than F it!
