Monday Morning Rambles: The Journey Begins...

Happy Monday my loves....

This weekend was so wonderful. I started my Yoga Teacher Training this Saturday and I can't even explain how happy I am. We were told to come into this journey as beginners so that we can truly absorb everything that they are going to teach us.

We learned so much this weekend; including the four branches of yoga, the five bodies of men, breathing techniques, a couple of Asanas (we practiced them for hoooours), and the 8 limb of Yoga which I shared recently on Instagram.
Yesterday in philosophy class,  Mokshapriya spoke about meditation and I learned a couple of interesting things that I wanted to share with you guys:

You should not meditate between midnight and 3 am because those are the hours of "dark Meditation"
Meditate for at least 15 minutes
The optimal time for meditation is right before the sunrises (Woohoo this is when I do it)
Even if you can't get into the actual meditation, just sitting for those 15 minutes is worth it
You can't teach people how to concentrate but not how to meditate
Set an intention before you begin your meditation.

Yesterday something else very beautiful occurred, we experienced Harmonic Immersion at the Ashram. The fact that this took place on September 11th made this even more special for me and I have began to cry...for all those lives that were lost and because we were experiencing so much love on this day.

Check out my vlog below for even more rambles and a little clue about something I am going to share with you guys NEXT WEEK.
