Monday Morning Rambles: Be A Pioneer That Dares To Be Different...

I wish that I could take credit for the title of this post but this beautiful statement was one of the wisdom nuggets that Mokshapriya shared with us yesterday at Sunshine Lecture (which I will talk about below).

This weekend was amazing. I worked on Saturday and then I spent the rest of the weekend with Homefries. She came over Saturday afternoon and we got into comfy pajamas and had an old fashioned sleepover which consisted of fun snacks, scary movies, board games, and of course lots of laughter.

Sunday morning, I woke up before her and snuck in some meditation in the living room while her and Zen cuddled in bed.
She then woke up and joined me in my yoga practice which was amazing. It was great to share something that is so personal to me, with her. When she was younger, I would take her to kids yoga but it was an honor to be her teacher this time.

I then made us pancakes so we can fuel up to go to Sunshine Lecture. Honestly, I was a little surprised that she wanted to attend the class with me. Not only did she want to attend but she brought her notebook to take notes as well. I think she actually beat me in the note taking ha.

Yesterday in class, Mokshapriya asked everyone that graduated last weekend to raise their hands and then she told us that now we have a duty. We have to share our love of yoga.We have to be the lighthouses and the pioneers that dare to be different. We can NOT be bashful because we have the power inside of us and we need to know our worth. We must be strong in our convictions but be gentle in our approach  and always speak in a way that everyone can understand.

I had an aha moment in class yesterday about something that I am guilty of doing and I shared it on my vlog below (4:55 mark)...
