However when I drink my "cawfee" (NYC accent) in the morning, I also sit down and make my gratitude list for the day. I try to do this every single day.
We all know about the Law of Attraction...what you put out into the Universe will come back to you. Well imagine if you start your day by giving thanks to the things in your life...the Universe will be like "Hey, here is some more things to add to your list!"
You might be thinking, "uhm yeah okay...this doesn't work". You're wrong. Here is an example...you know when you wake up late for work and start to rush around to get ready and start to worry about hitting traffic etc...what happens? You hit traffic or you miss the bus etc. You put so much energy into NOT hitting traffic that you actually caused it. You should have been thinking of getting to work on time instead.
The key to this, is actually writing it down...you can't just think about it. Put pen to paper.
You can write anything that you think of...big or small. Some things that tend to make it to my list on a weekly basis are:
- Roof over my head
- My family
- Warm bed
- A job that I love
- Baby Zen
- Eating healthy
- Yoga Teacher Training
Don't take the smallest things for granted...
