Monday Morning Rambles: Natural Body Block Party....

Last week I found out that Emily Hayden would be attending an event close to my home and things aligned perfectly and I was able to meet her.

In case you don't know who Emily is...here is a little more information, courtesy of her website:
My name is Emily Hayden and I am an IFBB Bikini Pro, Fitness and Lifestyle Youtuber, Social Media Influencer, Fitness model, and NASM certified personal trainer. I have 3 NASM specialty certifications in: fitness nutrition, women’s fitness, and weight loss....
My goal is not only to inspire, motivate, and educate those around me, but to empower them to take action, and create real change in their own lives.

I recently discovered Emily's youtube videos thanks to my friend Angie, so it only seemed right that we would head over together. One of the main reasons that I was drawn to her videos; is her dedication. This lady is so focused on her goals and it's almost contagious...you can't help but to feel empowered when you witness her drive.

It's always tricky when you meet someone that you follow on social media...the bubble could burst. I have met some people in RL and honestly; it changed my views on the person. Thankfully that wasn't the case this time.

Angie and I headed to Natural Body in Ozone Park...we arrived a little early so we decided to walk around the neighborhood and get some steps in while we waited (thankfully we "get" each other ha). When we headed back to the store, the line already started to form. The doors were supposed to open at 12 but for some reason; they didn't start until a little after 1 pm. Thankfully once the line began to move, we headed in fairly quickly. They had so many different vendors at the event and mostly all of them offered samples to try and some to take home as well.

I regret not buying bags of the Iconmeals popcorn...So. Damn.Good.

While we were online, I spotted someone else thatI follow on Instagram, Derek Weida. He is not only inspirational but funny as F as well. I kind of "fan girled" when I saw him and almost lost the courage to ask him for a photo but I knew that I would never have this opportunity again, so I put on my big girl undies and approached him. Honestly him and Emily were both very pleasant. Like, I said earlier...this could go either way but they were both true to their online "personality". I use the word personality because people tend to put up an online persona that is vastly different from who they are but they were both genuinely nice people.
It was really great to meet both of them and spend the afternoon with Angie. I will be returning next year for sure!

Do you have any youtubers that you would like to meet?

Namaste...
