I hope everyone is having a great Friday and you should be since the weekend is quickly approaching us!

My day has been pretty laid back…I woke up a little congested and have been taking it easy…but my past 2 days have been filled of yummy eats.

Ayer for Lunch I made myself a salad with Tuna Salad (White Albacore Tuna, Mayo, Lime Juice, and Tomatoes) on a bed of Lettuce and Tomatoes.


And Fruit Salad for Dessert.


Later in the evening I had an Apple…


For din din I had Tofu, Mushroom, and Brussels Stir Fry with PB, Teriyaki Sauce, Szechuan Hot Sauce, and Red Pepper Flakes with a side Salad (Lettuce, Tomatoes, 2% Mexican Cheese Blend, and FF Catalina Dressing)

I also snacked on Protein Cookie Dough before bed….

This morning I ran out of PB (((((GASP))))) so decided to switch it up. I had a toasted Rudi’s English Muffin with Reduced Fat Cream Cheese and a Pear cooked in Splenda and Cinnamon with my usual Café con Leche…this was a great breakfast.


Lunch was just as good! I made myself a wrap with Morningstar Farms Buffalo Wings, Melted Swiss Cheese, Lettuce, Tomatoes, and Jack Daniels BBQ Sauce in a Rudi’s Wrap


And Chobani Pineapple Yogurt for Dessert…


I also snacked on two of these during the day…


Lent is right around the corner and I have been thinking of what I want to give up…I already knew that Meat was on the list but Lent should be about sacrifice and am I really sacrificing anything with giving up meat? I don’t eat meat that often, I don’t even buy it when I go grocery shopping. I think I was taking the easy way out…After talking to Kalin (thank you so much for your insight!) and Mo I came to a decision.

I am going to give up I can’t even type this Protein Cookie Dough!!!!!!! For 40 days and 40 nights I will not eat any meat or make any protein cookie dough…

What is your take on lent? are you planning to give up anything?

I decided to dedicate this AND my upcoming 5k to my grandmother who passed away 2 years ago on March 3.



  1. So I tried that pineapple chobani the other day and FELL. IN. LOVE. who needs men when you have chobani, seriously! I hope it goes on sale again soon at Whole Foods!

    I can't believe youa re giving up protein cookie dough. I mean good for you, but that is a tough one!

  3. That is so awesome Mari that you've decided to run in honor of your grandmother. I love that idea! Makes all your of hard work feel worth it, huh?

  6. I just stopped by for the first time and really enjoyed all your food pictures. I've never even heard of protein cookie dough. It sounds wonderful, and you're giving it up?

    All that good looking food doesn't makes it look like you're not on a diet. How wonderful!

  7. You're nuts, girl! No cookie dough?! I don't do lent...that whole other religion thing. I have been wanting to quit pouring sugar down my throat, but we'll see!

  8. The best thing for me to give up is SUGAR - i have just discover greek yogurt and have food big variances in taste with brands - what are the best ones for someone who has a sweet tooth?

    I think Lent is great, if you're Catholic, but I also think some people use it as an excuse to "Diet" and I think that's just not cool. I mean it's fine to give something up, but don't pretend like it's for Lent, right?! I used to do it....

    Good for you for giving up something that you TRULY love! That's another thing, some people give up really dumb things that aren't even that hard to give up. I know the protein cookie dough will be difficult. Your grandma will be proud :)

  14. OH wow, I see protein cookie dough on your site a lot! I've actually always been sort of curious as to what it's made of (maybe I missed this somewhere down the road?). I think it's great to experiment with giving up our loves. I gave up peanut butter once for a month because I was seriously addicted to it! These kinds of tasks really test and build your self discipline!
