Monday (okay Tuesday) Morning Rambles: Gratitude Journal Challenge

Good Morning my Loves!!!! I am so sorry that I did not post this yesterday but as some of you know, Zen got sick over the weekend.  I had to take him to the vet yesterday and they ended up keeping him the whole day to perform oral surgery. I know this sounds silly but I didn’t want to record my vlog without him here since he loves to pop in (which he did, right at the end). Side note, Zen and I are definitely meant to be together…I find it hilarious that we both had oral surgery around the same time

It is so great to have him back home…he is still loopy but in great spirits which makes this momma very happy.

Today I want to share something that I am participating in and hope that you guys join me!

The Fierce Forward Gratitude Journal Challenge

Here is some info about The Challenge from Ashley (head over to her site for more tips and ideas)
For the month of November, join us in the Gratitude Journal Challenge! This is an easy way to give thanks for the amazing life you have. Challenge begins as soon as you want or officially November 1st!
  • Each night, before you go to bed (or whatever time you have in your day to yourself, free from distractions) take 5-10 minutes to write down what you are most grateful for in your day, in your life, etc.
  • At the end of the 30 days you may be inspired to keep your journal going, please do! And you just may notice that you are feeling happier (side effect of focusing on happiness)
Life gets so crazy and sometimes we forget to take time to appreciate the things in our life that make us happy. It is not that we are taking things for granted but we are just caught up the chaos of the day. That is why I think it is important for everyone to join us.

I have to be honest, it was hard for me to put to pen to paper on Sunday night to begin this challenge because Zen was sick but that was the challenge for me. Even in our darkest times we need to find that ray of light to cling on to. It can be something as simple as someone smiling at you on the street or having a wonderful Vet who took amazing care of your furbaby.

I challenge you to  grab a notebook tonight and just write down all the things that made you smile today.

Check out my vlog below where I share some things that I am grateful for! (3:52 mark)
