I had yet another amazing weekend at Yoga Teacher Training. On Saturday we had a four hour Core Workshop (why did I hear the Gilligan's Island theme song when I wrote that ha) and I felt every single muscle in my core. After my training, I came back home and implemented some of the things we learned and was finally able to master a pose that I have tried in the past and failed...many many times...
Eka Pada Koundinyasana II
This takes me into something that I learned this weekend in Philosophy. We began to study the Raja Yoga Sutras of Sage Patanjali and one of the Sutras stood out to me.
Sutra 14:
"Practice for a long time, unbroken, with love, attention or honor, and truthful service, then we will have a firm ground (of what we are learning or trying to achieve)"
This pertains to ANYTHING we are trying to achieve in life. In my video below, I used my marathon training as an example. When you decide to train for a marathon, you need to train for a very long time. Your training has to be consistent (unbroken) so that you are able to increase you mileage. Towards the end of the training, you will might start to hate it because you are running so much but you need to change your mindset. You don't need to love it but you do need to respect the training and in the end trust the process.
I learned so much this weekend and shared some more of it on my vlog...including how long it takes for us to get over anger and what having anger stops us from getting in the long run.

Sooooo I am sure most have you seen the saying "Namaste In Bed" all over social media; I absolutely love it. Since the weather is getting a little cooler, I wanted to get a new Traveling mug and have this quote on it. I checked on Amazon first because I am sucker for instant gratification and wanted it "NOW" but I didn't find any that drew me in. I checked on Etsy and found some nice ones but then I found the perfect one....
They have hundreds of mugs to choose from and I know you will find the perfect one for yourself or as a gift.
Speaking of gifts...we have a gift for YOU. Head over to 52 Blue Avenue and get 10 percent off your first purchase with the code "Namastemari16" (offer expires 10/16/16)
Check out my video for even more rambles....
