I want to discuss "Removing The Mask" and it kind of goes perfectly with tomorrow being Halloween.
This got me to think about the people that I gravitate towards on social media and what attracts me to them. For me, I want to hear about your struggle, what did it take for you to get from Point A to Point B...what did you have to overcome. A perfect example of this is, Krissy Mae Cagney (I met her once and was awesome). She does not waiver from who she is and she is completely open about her sobriety as well as her health issues. Does this turn people off? Hell no! She is a successful entrepreneur and I think one of the reasons is because she is "real".
Don't get me wrong, not everyone that I follow falls into this category; some of them just post "pretty" photos but they have their own brand which is what I like. They aren't posting to get more followers or copying what someone else is doing in hopes to get sponsorship. For lack of a better word, they are "authentic" to who THEY are.
I am always rooting for the underdog because I see myself as one. I am very raw about who I am and because of that reason; I am in search for people who do the same.
Moral of the story...remove the fucking mask and be unapologetically you!
Namaste...
